Social Value and Impact

Men are dying too young - and it doesn't have to be that way.

Around the world, men are facing a health crisis: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and suicide. At Movember we're on a mission to change the face of men's health by making it easier for men to talk, act and live longer healthier lives.

Every project, every campaign, every idea adds up to real change. You'll be part of a purpose-fueled crew who believe making an impact and having fun should go hand in hand. Your mission is calling.

Your Mo-Mission (should you choose to accept it)

Movember Ahead of the Game has just passed 100,000 participants, reaching players, coaches and parents across Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Canada, with pilots now underway in France and the Netherlands. It's one of Movember's flagship mental health programmes, and it's growing fast. As Social Impact Manager for MAOTG Global, your mission is to make sure that growth is backed by evidence: rigorous, meaningful, and genuinely useful to the people making decisions about the programme's future.

This is a one-year contract role, based in the UK or Canada, sitting within the Movember Institute and reporting to the Social Impact Manager, Global Sports Health Initiative. You'll lead monitoring, evaluation and learning across the entire MAOTG programme globally, owning the outcomes framework, overseeing data collection instruments and systems, commissioning external evaluations, and driving a shift from measuring activity and outputs to measuring outcomes and impact over time. That shift is the central challenge of this role, and it matters deeply, because it is the evidence that underpins Movember's investment in young men's mental health.

Day to day

Day to day, you'll generate insights from programme data, lead the next phase of the MAOTG Social Impact dashboard, produce reports for executive and board-level audiences, and translate complex findings into formats that programme teams, funders, and delivery partners can actually use. You'll work directly with funded partners across markets to embed shared MEL practice, facilitate cross-market peer learning through Movember's global Community of Practice, and contribute to thought leadership in the sport-based mental health space.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation and learning, ideally within health promotion, youth mental health, community sport or the not-for-profit sector
  • Demonstrated experience operationalising and managing MEL frameworks for complex, multi-site programmes
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative research and data analysis skills, with the ability to translate findings into accessible insights for diverse audiences
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience producing reports for senior leadership, funders and board-level audiences
  • Demonstrated experience leading social impact workstreams and influencing without direct authority across cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Well-developed stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, across all levels of an organisation and with external delivery partners
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, global environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, data visualisation tools and MEL platforms, with a willingness to learn new systems such as Asana
  • Flexibility to attend calls outside standard working hours to support global team meetings and cross-market collaboration
Not Mission Critical - but for extra bonus points
  • Knowledge of mental health and/or suicide prevention
  • Experience evaluating programmes delivered in community or community sport settings
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications in public health, evaluation, research or a related discipline
  • Experience working in a global or multi-market organisation
Benefits
  • Hybrid/Flexible working - we offer our team a split of home and office working
  • 13 weeks paid Parental Leave and 6 weeks annual leave
  • Health Cash Plan - to support the costs of everyday healthcare needs (dental, optical, wellbeing)
  • An Employee Assistance Programme offering face to face counselling, plus legal and financial support
  • A fun stimulating and collaborating culture, with company events
  • Service awards after 3, 5 and 10 year
  • Committees to join - Culture team, Equity Diversity & Inclusion
  • Bike to work scheme
  • Half day Fridays for 9 months of the year
