Senior Environment Manager
Salary: £77,028 depending on skills and experience.

ResponsibilitiesThis role is responsible for leading the Integrated Project Team (IPT), assuring that design and construction within the team is in accordance with organisational and sponsor requirements and policies (including the Environmental Minimum Requirements (EMRs , environmental commitments, environmental law and regulations. It also provides client delivery support to the IPT through guidance on environmental design and construction requirements and assures that environmental issues and constraints are key considerations in project design and construction implementation.
QualificationsRequired qualifications for this role include:
- Complex problem solving: The ability to identify complex problems, review, analyse, interpret data, evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Decision quality: Gather and synthesize information, identify options, apply judgement based on logic and reasoning, and use analytical approaches to provide relevant information to suppliers, stakeholders and decision makers.
- Technical leadership: Specialist technical support and leadership on all discipline specific scientific, technical and environmental principles, knowing when to seek guidance from subject matter experts.
- Communication: Communicate technical ideas to colleagues, based largely on examples of application.
- Data management: Apply principles and methods to ensure effective information management, modelling and data security, understand approaches and consequences for data creation, transformation and visualization.
- Applicable UK environmental law and construction regulations, including CDM regulations.
- Understanding of the regulatory/legislative framework relevant to HS2.
- Commercial awareness: understanding of cost delivery, schedule targets and integrated solutions.
- Chartered Environmentalist/Membership of an appropriate professional institution or equivalent experience.
- Managing multi disciplinary engineering and environmental standards on large complex major projects/programmes within infrastructure delivery.
- Managing competing project, engineering and environmental demands with cost and schedule implications.
