Responsibilities
- Undertaking ecological assessment and habitat design for a variety of development and nature recovery projects
- Supporting to develop innovative and pragmatic approaches to ecological mitigation and compensation
- Collaborating within multi disciplinary teams and engaging with stakeholders / clients
- Delivering clear and concise, high quality ecological deliverables in line with current guidance and good practice
- A passion for ecology
- Knowledge of Biodiversity Net Gain legislation, policy and methods
- Report writing skills for typical ecological reporting (Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Ecological Impact Assessments or Biodiversity Net Gain)
- Competent in using GIS and/or other geospatial applications is beneficial
- Awareness of methodology in undertaking protected species surveys, mitigation and licensing
- Motivated to take ownership and pride in work
- Membership of CIEEM is desirable
- Full driving licence is desirable
Demonstrates expertise in ecological assessment and habitat design, with a strong understanding of Biodiversity Net Gain legislation and effective report writing for ecological deliverables. Capable of collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and engaging stakeholders to deliver high-quality ecological solutions.
