Principal Ecologist

Location: Hybrid working with UK travel. Salary: £40,000-£50,000 DOE. Job Type: Permanent.

Bennett & Game are pleased to represent an established environmental consultancy and specialist contractor seeking to appoint their first in house terrestrial ecologist. The business currently delivers its terrestrial ecology requirements through an established supply chain. Due to continued growth and increasing internal demand, they are now looking for an experienced ecologist to take ownership of this service. The successful candidate will deliver ecological assessments, coordinate external specialists and support multidisciplinary environmental and construction projects. Longer term, there is genuine scope to develop the ecology offering, introduce new services and potentially build an internal team.

Position Requirements
  • Experience within terrestrial ecology and environmental consultancy
  • Strong ecological assessment and technical report writing experience
  • Protected species survey and mitigation knowledge
  • Confident managing clients, projects and external consultants
  • CIEEM membership and protected species licences advantageous
  • Full UK driving licence
