Our Nature team works on a mix of large infrastructure projects in energy, water, renewables, defence and transport, alongside managing smaller local projects. The team also supports the wider AECOM Nature team with National and International projects.
In this role, depending on your interests and skillset, you will have opportunities to work on a variety of areas such as innovative survey techniques for species and habitats surveys, data capture and reporting; work winning; project management; Habitats Regulations Assessments; and Biodiversity Net Gain mentoring and coaching of the team. The environment offers internal and external training opportunities within a nurturing mentoring and coaching framework.
Responsibilities- Organising and carrying out desk studies and field-based habitat, botanical, protected and non-native invasive species surveys.
- Undertaking the analysis, evaluation, interpretation and presentation of ecological data, including supporting production of Ecological Impact Assessments and design of mitigation strategies.
- Safe delivery of protected species and habitat surveys; analysis and evaluation of results, impact assessments, and the design and implementation of successful mitigation strategies.
- Performing the role of an Ecological Clerk of Works on construction projects.
