The role
- Work collaboratively with technical specialists on a broad range of projects, assisting with the coordination of Environmental Impact Assessments and consenting projects and related deliverables.
- Successfully coordinate and deliver environmental work undertaken by multi disciplinary teams including EIA, options appraisals and environmental management and consenting.
- Collate and edit information from various sources to provide clear, well written reports.
- Competently undertake own work to an excellent standard on time and to budget.
- Support senior management with bid preparation and project management to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to quality and client expectations.
- Support line managers and team leaders with mentoring and buddying junior staff.
- Work remotely from London at least part time (Epsom optional) and be flexible to work from other Atkins Réalis or client office locations.
- Progress a career through a portfolio of training, development activities and mentoring support.
- Degree or Masters in an environmental or equivalent science subject.
- Chartered or working towards chartership with a relevant professional body such as IEMA/IES.
- Experience working on EIA and consenting projects across any sector.
- Good knowledge of the EIA process and environmental technical specialists.
- Strong report writing, verbal and presentation skills.
- Ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure.
- Good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate issues and ideas effectively.
- Highly self motivated, enthusiastic and committed to delivering sustainable outcomes.
- Flexible, adaptable and prepared to take on new challenges.
