Sustainability Consultant

An established, multidisciplinary building services and sustainability consultancy are looking to appointment a Sustainability Consultant to join their growing team in either Birmingham or Nottingham.

The business works across a diverse range of high-profile projects within healthcare, education, residential, commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical and public sector environments, helping clients deliver more sustainable and energy-efficient buildings. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative team where sustainability is embedded into the design process, rather than being an afterthought.

The role will involve delivering sustainability advice across a variety of projects, working with both public and private sector clients from planning through to construction and completion.

Key responsibilities include:

• BREEAM assessments for new-build and refurbishment projects
• Sustainability statements for planning
• LZC technology feasibility studies
• Passive design analysis
• Embodied and whole-life carbon modelling using One Click LCA
• Supporting wider sustainability services including ESG, WELL, SKA and circular economy assessments

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience delivering sustainability projects within the built environment
• BREEAM AP experience and a good working knowledge of BREEAM
• A relevant degree in Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Architectural Technology or a related discipline
• Experience with One Click LCA is beneficial, but training can be provided
• Strong communication, organisation and project management skills
• A genuine interest in sustainable design and the drive to develop within the sector
