You will be educated to degree level in an environmental or related discipline and have a good understanding of EIA and consenting. You will have gained or be working towards chartership through IEMA/IES or another professional body. Ideally the person would be able to work from London at least part time, although Epsom would be an option.
Your role- Assist with the coordination of Environmental Impact Assessments and consenting projects and related deliverables.
- Assist in the coordination and delivery of environmental work undertaken by multidisciplinary teams including EIA, options appraisal, environmental management and consenting.
- Collate and edit information from a range of sources to provide clear, well written reports.
- Competently undertake own work to an excellent standard on time and to budget.
- Support senior management with bid preparation and project management to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality and client expectations.
- Support line managers and team leaders by mentoring junior staff.
- Degree or Masters in an environmental or equivalent science subject.
- Chartered or working toward chartership with a relevant professional body.
- Experience working on EIA and consenting projects across any sector.
- Good knowledge of the EIA process and environmental technical specialists.
- Strong report writing, verbal and presentation skills.
- Ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate issues and ideas effectively.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to take on new challenges and work from other AtkinsRéalis or client office locations.
