An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Ecologist to join a leading environmental team working on a range of projects around Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level ecologist looking to take on greater responsibility, lead ecological workstreams and contribute to a high-profile project with significant environmental considerations.

Its multidisciplinary team includes ecologists, planners, landscape architects and environmental specialists, working collaboratively to deliver integrated and place-sensitive solutions. Responsibilities will include;
- Leading and coordinating ecological surveys, assessments and monitoring programmes.
- Providing expert ecological advice throughout the planning and construction phases.
- Supporting protected species licensing and mitigation requirements.
- Reviewing ecological reports, technical information and survey findings.
- Monitoring ecological works and ensuring agreed mitigation measures are implemented effectively.
- Liaising with contractors, engineers, environmental consultants and other project stakeholders.
- Identifying ecological risks and providing practical solutions.
- Supporting environmental compliance and ensuring relevant legislation and planning requirements are met.
- Mentoring and supporting junior ecologists and other members of the environmental team.
- Contributing to the ongoing improvement of ecological and environmental practices across the project.
