Key Responsibilities- Develop ecological assessments and habitat design for development and nature recovery projects.
- Design innovative and pragmatic ecological mitigation and compensation strategies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage stakeholders and clients.
- Deliver clear, high quality ecological reports and documents in line with current guidance and best practice.
- Act as the ecological lead on projects, managing task and project delivery from bid to completion.
- Passion for ecology and strong working knowledge of the natural environment and wildlife legislation.
- Experience with UKHab surveys, Preliminary Ecological Assessment, Ecological Impact Assessment, and Biodiversity Net Gain assessments.
- Strong botanical skills, including a Field Identification Skills Certificate (FISC) level3+ or equivalent demonstrable ability.
- Experience in protected species survey, mitigation and licensing.
- Ability to manage ecology deliverables and projects through bidding to completion, maintaining client relationships.
- Membership of CIEEM or equivalent professional body.
- Full driving licence.
