As an Ecologist, you will undertake habitat and protected species surveys, assist with Biodiversity Net Gain and habitat assessments, prepare high-quality technical reports, and support the delivery of ecological projects from initial site appraisal through to completion. The successful Ecologist will work closely with experienced colleagues, clients and planning authorities while contributing to a diverse portfolio of projects. This Ecologist role offers excellent mentoring, varied fieldwork and clear opportunities for progression. The successful Ecologist will play an important role in supporting the continued growth of the ecology team.

Requirements:
- Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or a related discipline
- Previous ecological consultancy experience
- Experience undertaking habitat and protected species surveys
- Strong technical report writing skills
- Knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy
- Full UK driving licence
- Full right to work in the UK
- Living in or near to their Edinburgh office
- Membership of CIEEM is desirable
