An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Ecologist to join an established, multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy specialising in ecology, arboriculture, landscape architecture and natural capital. The company has over 30 years of experience and is a CIEEM Registered Practice, delivering practical, evidence-led solutions across development and land management projects.

As a Consultant Ecologist, you will work across a varied project portfolio, undertaking ecological surveys and assessments, supporting planning applications and contributing to Biodiversity Net Gain, protected species work, ecological mitigation and habitat enhancement. You will also collaborate with arboriculturalists, landscape architects and wider project teams.

Requirements:

• Relevant degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or a related discipline
• Consultancy experience with ecological surveys and reporting
• Good understanding of UK ecology, protected species and relevant legislation
• Experience with PEA, EcIA and/or BNG desirable
• Strong report-writing and communication skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Full right to work in the UK
• Living in or within a commutable distance of the Watford office
• Willingness to travel for site work
